Principal Investigator

Yingying Wu

Assistant Professor of Mathematics, University of Houston
Adjunct Assistant Professor of Mathematics, Rice University

My research is in geometric analysis, gauge theory, spectral geometry, and algebraic geometry. I study ℤ/2-harmonic forms and spinors, eigenvalue inequalities, and the geometry of moduli spaces.

Postdoctoral Researchers

Khanh Le

Postdoctoral researcher

Khanh works in hyperbolic geometry and low-dimensional topology, particularly character varieties and totally geodesic surfaces in hyperbolic 3-manifolds.

PhD Students

Ricardo Gloria-Picazzo

University of Houston · Expected completion: Spring 2028

Ricardo works on spectral geometry and eigenvalue problems. His joint preprint with Shing-Tung Yau and me establishes a genus-dependent eigenvalue-ratio bound relating the Laplace–Beltrami spectrum of a closed embedded surface in ℝ³ to the Dirichlet spectrum of the bounded domain it encloses. Preprint

Jonathan Foley

University of Houston · Expected completion: Spring 2029

Jonathan is a PhD student under my supervision.

PhD Dissertation Committees

Marco Campos

Mathematics, University of Houston · Expected completion: Spring 2027

I serve on Marco’s PhD dissertation committee. His dissertation research concerns topological methods for the analysis of temporal networks.

Ibrahim Abualrob

Physics, University of Houston · Expected completion: Spring 2027

I serve on Ibrahim’s PhD dissertation committee. His dissertation topic is “Energy Energy Correlator.”
